About Me - Brief Overview

Christine von Fragstein was born in Ravensburg, Germany in 1971. 

With the development of the “Berlinale Talent Campus”, she created a unique annual winter academy for young filmmakers and was its director for three years. 

Since 2005, she has been working as a consultant for various international film festivals, including the International Women’s Film Festival Dortmund/Cologne and the Zurich Film Festival. Christine von Fragstein is responsible for the Zurich Master Class and now curates the Zurich Film Festival’s International Feature Documentary Competition.

Since 2009 she is in charge of the EFA Master Class RUHR and the European Film Academy - European Film Fest RUHR and works for the European Film Academy and the European City of Culture RUHR.2010 "Essen for the Ruhr.

She is married, has two children and lives with her family in Dusseldorf, Germany.
